Very pleased with the progress! If only someone would now think to turn on ANY of the travelators from the Station to/from either T1 or T2, as in their current state they make all visitors to the airport think it (and the city) is falling apart and broken-down! It's been about 6 years!

Manchester airport security staff are the worst. Borderline narcissists who enjoy their pathetic power trips. They treat the passengers who pay their wages like dirt.

The problem is that the Manchester Airport security staff are narcissistic and power mad. They treat the passengers like dirt. Its arguably one of the worst airports I have had the misfortune of visiting.

Shocking quality terminal. Not even escalators to walk down to the airbridge. Insufficient seats at the gates and only focussing on retail. Not even to mention a charge ripping off all passengers, how the hell are you expected to reach the airport. It will never be a top airport. It was fine in the 80s and 90s but no more.

Its terrible, bad quality and even no escalators to go down to the bates. The materials used are cheap and not enough seating at the gates. The original T2 was better 30 years ago than this shoddy place

How about some nice spectators viewing areas on the roof again as other airports manage to do.

Its a shocking airport with beyond ridiculous charges to drop off or collect a passenger. Escalators that do not work and a bad history of corruption. Quality of materials used to build the new extension are not good and they didn’t even consider to put escalators to the gates to walk down to the air bridge.

The quality of materials used in the new extension is very bad and with no escalators installed or available to walk from the gate down to the aircraft as is most cases in other airport terminals built over the last 20 years, Munich is a good example. The lack of seating also at the gates not sufficient for the later capacity of aircraft types. Complete disgrace charging to drop off and collect passengers from an International airport is beyond ridiculous. I hope they don’t expect to be a top class International airport anymore.

Can't speak for the rest of the public transport hub, but the bus station concourse is looking extremely run down. Arrived back from a flight from Portugal yesterday to use the 43 bus back towards Manchester. What would have been indicator screen above each doorway no longer operational. Lighting set into the flooring in the main no longer working. The whole concourse area just felt grubby. If this was visitor to Manchester for the first time, what impression is it giving? I remember when the bus station opened as part of the transport hub, it certainly looks sorry for itself now.

Expansion past the security, including lots more seating, is really needed. However, I think they ruined Stansted when they moved security down the end of the check in hall, that's made it a total nightmare, and walking hell. Moving security to a central location as it was way back when would be much preferred

They can't get decent staff nowadays to work there and from multiple experiences is the worst UK airport to fly from with delays at passport control and rip off prices for parking and unloading. Considering it was only really constructed as a modern Airport in 1991, it hasn't been thought out too well and was turned down on more than one occasion before the expansion was built.. Cambridge would be a better location as it would ease the Essex shite hole congestion....

"London" Stansted? What next? "Scotland" Newcastle airport?

I honestly think Stansted should get a second runway. Unlike the other major London airports, Stansted actually has the space to expand in all directions with ample land up for redevelopment.

Im a mancunian but will never use this cesspit again, will use train to get to London and fly out of Heathrow. Dozens of smokers and airport staff smoking outside the terminal entrance in the no smoking area, filthy walkways and litter everywhere, aggressive and nasty baggage check staff. They took more than 20 minutes to do an extra security check on my wife's rucksack and on mine, which appeared to be a targeted search against white people. In the process they managed to lose my laptop which was eventually recovered- ashamed to be English

I would say to be fair that we need new routes and airlines to come to Manchester Airport such as Oman Air for Muscat, American Airlines for few U.S. Places, Delta Air Lines for few U.S. Places, Aeroméxico, Croatia Airlines for Zagreb, Thai Airways international for Bangkok, Japan Airlines for Tokyo and ITA Airways for Rome.
